I'm finally into writing blogs! Guess, this will be a good way to vent out what I feel and think.
'FEARLESS' - I think this is the single most virtue one needs to possess to achieve the impossible. Fearless in this context does not mean just 'no fear'. Fearless means not fearing to get back on feet after the greatest failure, not fearing to give everything up to pursue the single most important thing, not fearing to stand for what one feels right against the entire world. It is this quality that separates the leader from its followers. I have been pondering over this virtue for a very long time and thinking about it, ever since I came across a TED Talk on being fearless.
My first blog is not an essay on the virtue 'fearless', but it does make me wonder how important this single virtue is in conquering the unknown and scaling new heights. It is weird, but think of any hero, real or fiction, this is one virtue that is common to all. From the demon king Ravana, Gandhi, Adolf Hitler, Amir Khan's character in 3 Idiots, Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, Rani Laximbai, or anyone you consider a hero or you think stands out. I don't know whether the mentioned people are right or wrong, but they have written history and have just one thing in common - they were fearless.
Even though I've written so much about being fearless, I don't think it is easy being one. Being fearless comes with hurting the ones close to you, sacrificing the state of content for something unknown and creating innumerable critics. But then, fearless is also standing up against these all. One may argue the implications of being 'fearless', but then I strongly feel, that in this short life span, if one wants to come out of mediocrity and rise and shine against all odds, being fearless is one of the most important virtues.
